The Jr. Eagles girl’s hockey was established in 2010 and has quickly become one of the most competitive AAA girls’ programs in New England and offers the most comprehensive girls hockey development program in the Boston area for the highly motivated and skilled youth hockey player. In its inaugural season in 2010, the Eagles U10 team were the Eastern Hockey Federation (EHF) Champions. In 2011-12, the Eagles added U12 Tier 1 and Tier II teams both of which are highly ranked nationally and have had great success in both the highly competitive New England Girls’ Hockey league (NEGHL) as well as the EHF. In 2012-13 the Eagles added U14 Tier I and U14 Tier II teams.
In 2013 the Jr. Eagles U12 team won both the Massachusetts State Championship and the National Championship.
In 2014, the Jr. Eagles U14 team was a Massachusetts State Finalist and finished #3 in the country.
In 2015, the Eagles U14 Maroon team won the Tier I National Championship!
In 2019, the Jr. Eagles U19 teams won both the Tier I & Tier II National Championships!
For 2022-23 the Eagles Girls program plans on fielding teams at the U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U19 levels.
The Boston Jr. Eagles Hockey Program is based out of Daly Rink on the Brighton/Newton line. Practices are assigned by age appropriateness of the time and location. Rinks utilized by the Jr. Eagles for practice and games include Daly Rink, Warrior Ice Arena, Boston Sports Institute/Wellesley, Bentley Arena, Reilly Rink/Cleveland Circle, Ryan Rink/Watertown, Keller Rink/Belmont Hill, Walter Brown Arena/Boston University and Porrazzo Rink/East Boston.
The program offers an active practice and game schedule, typically one or two games on the weekend and two practices per week on a set schedule from September through March and a skills program. Our U16/U19 split season teams practice and play on Sundays from September through the Mass State Tournament, which is Thanksgiving weekend.
The Jr. Eagles hockey program is recognized for its outstanding coaching staff with many of their head coaches having played hockey either professionally or at the division 1 college level. Each coach is carefully selected and is dedicated to making the youth hockey experience one that is fun, while building character and proficiency in the sport.
Tryouts for all Eagles teams will be in March/April 2022.
